Saarinen, Eero
(1910-1961) Сааринен, Эро
Архитектор, сын финского архитектора Элиеля Сааринена. В 1923 иммигрировал в США. Выпускник Школы архитектуры Йельского университета [Yale University]. Уделял много внимания поискам новых форм. По его проектам построены здания аэровокзала компании "Транс уорлд эрлайнс" [Trans World Airlines] в Нью-Йоркском международном аэропорту Кеннеди [Kennedy International Airport] (1962); Международного аэропорта Даллеса [Dulles International Airport] в г. Вашингтоне (1962); Джефферсоновского мемориала расширения страны [Jefferson National Expansion Memorial] в г. Сент-Луисе (1948-64); Театра Вивиан Бомонт [Vivian Beaumont Theater] в Линкольновском центре [Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts] в г. Нью-Йорке и др. Один из наиболее известных архитекторов XX в.
